Why This Site Exists
Danville uses its own City Clerk and Danville Connect intake for town records, but many person-related records are held in Martinez by Contra Costa County offices. The Clerk-Recorder handles recorded documents and county clerk records, the Superior Court of California, County of Contra Costa maintains court access, the Assessor links parcels to assessment data while withholding owner names online, and elections records follow California voter-file rules. We organize those official sources, plus state licensing, business, and genealogy resources, so the boundaries are easier to understand.
What You Will Find Here
- Pages by record type: public records, voter registration records, and people directories
- Local records offices: Danville City Clerk, Contra Costa Clerk-Recorder-Elections, Superior Court, Assessor, elections, and vital records contacts
- Search walkthroughs: how to use the Contra Costa Court Public Portal, the Official Records Index, ParcelQuest Lite, voter lookups, and library directory collections
- Access rules: what California law treats as public, what remains restricted, and how to make a California Public Records Act request when a record is not online
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We are not connected to the Town of Danville, Contra Costa County, any California agency, any court, or any records custodian. Those limits matter:
- We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
- We cannot confirm whether a specific person lives in Danville
- We cannot remove information from government records or third-party databases
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a record applies to your situation
- We cannot guarantee that every record index, portal link, or office detail on this site is current right now
Only the custodian office can confirm, certify, or correct a record. Nothing found through this site may be used for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
